From Insight to Implementation: Expanding Our Role as a Trusted Guide

At Guidant Power, most of our work with clients begins with a question:

How safe is my system?

A facility manager might need an arc flash study, or a safety team might schedule infrared inspections to get ahead of a failure. We visit the site, analyze their systems, uncover the risks, and deliver a report. Until now, that’s where our engagement ended, leaving the customer with a stack of recommendations and a new question:

“This is great information! How do we fix it?”

Now, we can finally answer the second question. That's why we are excited to welcome Morrow Engineering to the Guidant Power family.

Behind Every Electrical System Are People

Electrical safety isn’t just about equipment; it’s about the people who work around it. While rare, electrical incidents are among the most dangerous hazards in any industrial environment. Beyond the human cost, a failure can shutter operations and disrupt production for months.

Our mission has always been about people. By adding Morrow’s deep engineering bench, we aren't just adding a service. We are fulfilling a promise to keep those people safe by seeing projects through to completion.

Seeing the Whole Picture

We often describe arc flash assessments and infrared inspections as "safety services," but at their core, they’re engineering analyses, revealing how a system behaves and exactly where it could fail.

When we looked at the data we were providing, the conclusion was clear: Guidant Power was acting more like an engineering company than anything else. That changes with the new partnership with Morrow Engineering -- now, engineering isn't just expertise; it's a concrete implementation plan.

Each client can take the next step in their journey:

  • Modernization: Electrical distribution systems that maximize the life of critical assets.

  • Optimization: Power system studies that support compliance and long-term planning.

  • Protection: Applying safety engineering to protect personnel and equipment, ensuring maximum availability.

  • Oversight: Providing the engineering "owner's rep" to manage timelines and prevent costly contractor failures.

A Single, Trusted Partner

Electrical systems are too complex to manage through a revolving door of vendors. Coordinating between a testing firm, a design engineer, and an implementation team introduces delays, confusion, and unnecessary risk.

Together, Morrow Engineering and Guidant Power represent a single point of accountability for our clients. Whether we are engineering a protection strategy for a coordination issue or designing a retrofit for aging infrastructure, it's a single roadmap that stays within the client's budget, under the same roof.

Strengthening the Industry

This expansion also creates value for a broader ecosystem. Across North America, there are outstanding regional testing firms and contractors who serve their markets well, but may lack a deep engineering bench for complex projects.

Guidant can now serve as a resource for the regional firms, delivering the engineering expertise they need to deliver more value in their area. Recently, we provided outsourced power studies to optimize performance, plan for expansion, confirm compliance, and support long-term planning for the firms' local customers.

The Journey Continues

A good guide doesn’t just point out the hazards ahead; they help you navigate around them. For years, we’ve helped organizations see their risks clearly. With the addition of the team at Morrow Engineering, we can now help you fix them.

Because understanding risk is only the beginning; real progress happens when you turn that understanding into action.
