About

Greg Thompson grew up in the infrared industry, his father having pioneered new kinds of infrared cameras. Greg's career began 1984 as an engineering technician building and repairing early thermal imagers.


With an engineering background from NMSU and UNM, he spent decades refining infrared inspection expertise through consulting and work with Monroe Infrared.


After joining Monroe in 2019, he helped strengthen inspection teams and processes. Since merging with Guidant in 2025, Greg serves as Vice President of Inspections for the infrared division.
